Dr Jennifer Ferrin has been practicing in Northeast Florida since graduating from The University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She attended Texas A&M for undergrad and received her degree in Animal Science. After graduating from veterinary school she and Dr Stacey practiced in Amelia Island for 7 years before making the permanent move to Jacksonville. She is a member of the Jacksonville Veterinary Medical Society and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, dermatology, and internal medicine. She also enjoys spending time with their 5 year old little girl Taylor, as well as their German Shepherd Leitzel, and their cat Sam.
Dr. Greg Stacey has been practicing small animal medicine in Northeast Florida since graduating from The University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. He joined the team at the Miramar Animal Hospital in 2013 after making the permanent move to Jacksonville from Amelia Island. Dr. Stacey really enjoys community practice and takes a special interest in surgery, dentistry, and hematology. He is a member of the Jacksonville Veterinary Medical Society and the American Veterinary Medical Association. On his free time, Dr. Stacey enjoys spending time with his wife Jennifer and their daughter Taylor, as well as their dog Leitzel and cat Sam.
Dr. Stephen Hart lives in San Marco with his canine companion Summer, and his two cats, Mac and Grace. After graduating from the University of Florida in 2001 he worked in private practice for some time. Now Dr. Hart is enjoying working as a relief veterinarian in Jacksonville and surrounding areas. In his free time, he volunteers on the board of the Wildlife Rescue Coalition of Northeast Florida and provides medical care for injured and orphaned wildlife. He also enjoys traveling and gardening and has a passion for listening to live music. He will be a permanent fixture here at Miramar Animal Hospital. He specializes in exotic animals and we are extremely excited to have him as a part of our family.
Mary is our Kennel Manager. She moved to Jacksonville in 2007 from a small town called Greenville, Alabama; and she has worked here at Miramar Animal Hospital for the past 9 years. Mary enjoys taking care of animals and making sure they look their very best. She recently acquired her first fur baby, Josephina, a 3 year old Poodle mix. In her spare time she loves watching her favorite television programs on LMN and Lifetime.
Since she was young, Laura has had a passion for animals, both large and small. Born here in Jacksonville, bringing home stray cats, dogs and even birds was, and still is, a favorite past time. She has worked at Miramar Animal Hospital for four years as a kennel technician. She loves her two cockapoos named Scooter and Chocolate. Her two cats however, Clementine and Patrick Chubbs, are her babies.
We welcomed Sarah to the Miramar team in June of 2015. She moved here from Hattiesburg, Mississippi where she grew up working at her father’s veterinary practice. Sarah is a Certified Veterinary Technician and has been working full-time in a veterinary clinic for over 10 years. She is the proud mama of a Maltese (Jezabelle) and an Olde English Bulldog (Auggie) as well as 2 kitties (Cupcake and Tratus).
Korina joined the Miramar team in January of 2016. She has expressed a love and concern for caring for animals since she was a child. Korina attended Sanford Brown where she acquired an Associate’s Degree in Science. She plans on pursuing her Technician Certification. On her down time Korina enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, family, and their two pit bull rescues named Kilo and Cali.
Tina has been with the Miramar family since January 2015. She has been a vet tech for the last 9 years and truly has a passion for the best vet care. She has a huge family which includes her daughter; Quinn, husband; Cody, her 2 dogs; Shelby and Cap10, plus 2 cats; Caesar and Little man. On her down time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
Angela is a California native with a love for all animals and species, which brought her to be a part of The Miramar Family in April 2015. Her current babies include Torgal, her 7 year old pitbull who likes to hog the bed, and a red eared slider turtle named Donatello. She studied art at Riverside Community College in Ca. She has been living in Jacksonville Florida since 2013. On her downtime she loves to let out her inner child by play video games, watching cartoons, and doing art projects.
Shannon is the newest member to our team, joining in April of 2016. She has a passion and love for animals that was apparent as a young child. She is a Certified Veterinary Technician with an Associate's Degree in Science. During her down time, Shannon enjoys spending time with her family which includes her husband, Brandon; 2 young daughters, Savannah and Scarlett; and her 2 fur babies, Lulu (Great Dane) and Penny (Miniature Pinscher).
Kayce started out in an Animal Hospital in Dublin, GA. She and her husband moved to Florida, after her husband accepted a position at Memorial Hospital of Jacksonville. Kayce has always loved animals since she was a young child. She now has two Boston Terriers; Precious a 9 year old spunky female. Buba, her 8 year old blind male, and her female cat by the name of Happy Fancy pants, who thinks she’s a dog. Kayce enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and her fur-babies.
Kailyn was born in New Jersey where she grew up riding horses. After graduating high school, she took a year off to work and travel. She has always loved animals, but it was not until recently that she had discovered a passion for Veterinary Medicine. Kaylen is currently attending UNF where she is studying Biomedical science and hopes to go to medical School or Veterinary School after graduation.
